IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
For my small business, that village is my family and the amazing collection of assistants I have had from near and far and all phases of my life! There are an awesome handful that wear their EBTP shirts on a regular basis. Here's a little about each of us...
I am a high-energy, hard-working, down-to-earth, insanely creative and curious human. My camera(s) and I have been in business since 2013. I primarily serve 20878 and surrounding areas but I have worked up and down the east coast in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Atlanta.... I'm more than happy to add locations to that list.
KIDS ARE MY FAVORITE subjects to photograph. There's no question about that. However, I capture a vast range of subjects... headshots, families, dancers and b'mai mitzvahs are my usual suspects, but I am always open to new projects.
In my previous life I had an exciting and intense career in the luxury hospitality industry. I've met hundreds of celebrities, CEO's, politicians and rockstars. I have many crazy stories and experiences taking care of the rich and famous! The only celebrities I cater to nowadays are my kid-clients... I LOVE making children feel like superstars in front of my camera!
My husband, Ryan is my biggest supporter and my business wouldn’t exist without him. Turns out I married the world's best SECOND SHOOTER! Who knew?! Ryan and I are a packaged deal for many B'nai Mitzvahs, ballet and other big projects. Ryan and I are both small business owners: He founded NR Labs, a cybersecurity company in 2024. Which was awarded one of the BEST PLACES TO WORK in DC within their first year in business!!! #proudwife
Ryan is a life long Maryland Terrapin fan and golfs any chance he gets. If you see him checking scores or watching a live sporting event on his phone during big shoot, just leave him be - TRUST ME HE'S EARNED IT!
Christine joined me in 2025 as the Studio Manager for erica b. tappis photography. You might have spotted her lending a hand during a photoshoot, checking in your kid for Picture Day or noticed her name in your inbox. She's also the one who answers most of your texts! Christine's work behind the scenes is one of the reasons why it runs so smoothly around here!
Christine is also a very talented graphic designer and runs her own graphic design and branding studio! She crafts everything from visual identities and social media assets to full websites. You can find her incredible work at www.christinemccary.com.
Lucy is my gorgeous daughter and becoming her mom is the reason I quit my full time corporate job and started erica b. tappis photography. She has been my #1 model since the day I started. Now that she is a confident and hilarious teenager, she is one of my assistants! She is great with small children and is an expert at making them smile for the camera! She has also been a behind-the-scenes photographer and an occasional second shooter.
She is an awesome volleyball player, lego builder and the most amazing big sister and dog-mama.
Jack is my clone and all time favorite son! He is by far the most responsible and helpful kid on earth. He helps me set up equipment, holds my camera, keeps me hydrated, and gives out lollipops to smiling kiddos! He also took my headshot on this page! Jack is an old soul and it shows in everything he does. He is also skilled soccer goalie and is a reallllllyyy smart and kind human.
I LOVE teaching my incredible kids about hard work, kindness and making people HAPPY through my business. It's the most rewarding part of the job!
